How we make money
When you enroll in an electricity plan through links on this site, the provider pays Texas Power Search a commission. You never pay us anything, and your price is the same as going to the provider directly. Commissions never affect our rankings, which are computed purely from plan cost at your usage. This disclosure appears before every recommendation on this site, our own rule, and Texas Power Search is registered and discloses compensation per PUCT rule 25.486.
The specifics
- Texas Power Search LLC is a registered electricity broker with the Public Utility Commission of Texas, registration #BR240033.
- Our enrollment links route through Compare Power, our marketplace partner; the provider pays a referral commission when an enrollment completes.
- Commission amounts vary by provider. Our ranking formula never includes them: the method is public.
- We never collect your payment information. Enrollment, billing, and service happen directly with the provider you choose.
- 10% of every commission dollar, counted off the top before any other expense or share, goes to The Storehouse of Collin County, at no cost to you.
